Running time for trucks

Did you know? When can trucks run in Bangkok?

The word "time-lapse" Many of you may have heard of this term, or some of you may not know what "time" means???

Due to traffic congestion in the Bangkok area, there is a law requiring the deadline for trucks to run in the inner area to alleviate traffic congestion. Which is classified by type of car and running time as follows:

In case of running on flat ground

  1. Banned gas tank trucks Flammable materials from 6 wheels or more and trailers in Bangkok from 06.00-22.00 every day except Sunday.
  2. Truck 6 wheels or more Do not run from 06:00 to 09:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00, except public holidays.
  3. Truck 10 wheels or more Do not run from 06:00 to 10:00 and 15:00 to 21:00 except public holidays.
  4. Do not allow other trucks such as logs, piles. Bus departs from 06.00-21.00 hrs.

In case of running on the expressway

  1. Truck with 6 wheels or more Do not run from 06:00 to 09:00 and 16:00 to 20:00.
  2. Trucks with 10 wheels or more are prohibited from 06.00-09.00 and 15.00-21.00.
  3. Chemical trucks are prohibited from 06.00-10.00 and 15.00-22.00.

Pickup trucks weighing less than 1,600 kg can run in Bangkok without stopping, while trucks with a rear end length of 2.50 meters measure 3.00 meters above the ground.

But in the regulations of traffic officials throughout the Kingdom. Large trucks within the area of 113 square kilometers are prohibited from operating between 06.00 a.m. and 21.00 a.m., except public holidays.

  10. Sukhumvit Road, from Bangna-Trad junction to the end of Bangkok.
  11. Outer Ring Road (Kanchanapisek Road or Outer Ring Road throughout)
  12. Rama 2 Road (Thonburi Pak Tho) from Suksawat Intersection - End of Bangkok
  13. Suksawat Road, since the separation Rama 2 Road to the end of Bangkok.
  14. Borommaratchachonnani Road, from the Outer Ring Road (Kanchanapisek Road or Highway No. 9 to the end of Bangkok)
  15. Phutthamonthon Sai 2 Road, from the junction Boromratchachonnani Road to the road junction Phetkasem
  16. Petchkasem Road, from the intersection of the Outer Ring Road (Kanchanapisek Road or Highway No. 9 to the end of Bangkok)
